How many of you have already started the Christmas shopping? Stationery lovers can the easiest yet the hardest people to buy for during the festive period. When you think of stationery, you could just buy a 10 pack of ball point pens, but when you walk into a stationery store, how do you know which of the thousand and one pens to choose? Here is my guide to buying for your stationery loving loved ones this Christmas!
1) Crayola Super Tips
Crayola Super Tips have been taking the stationers by storm. Fairly inexpensive, washable yet incredibly pigmented mean that these felt tip marker pens have been loved by children and adults alike. Perfect for colouring, outlining, drawing and calligraphy – there is no reason why any stationery lover should not have a set of these!
2) A Planner or Bullet Journal Notebook
We all know that with Christmas, also comes the new year, which means for many, it is time for a brand new planner (unless you plan July to June). However, with some planners on the market at quite a high price point, many are reluctant to buy planners until the January sales. The Happy Planner is my favourite weekly/monthly organiser, with plenty of space to write down your to do lists and decorate with stickers and washi tape if you love adding a pop of colour.
If your loved one prefers Bullet Journalling, then I can thoroughly recommend Hex & Ginger Notebooks – the paper quality is amazing (100 GSM) and their notebooks come with 192 pages – plenty of space for a years worth of memories!
3) Notebook with meaning
Can you ever have too many notebooks? Ok…I think we all know the answer here is “of course… not!” However, rather than just buying a cheap, plain notebook this year, why not buy a notebook with meaning? Go Stationery offer a personalisation service so you can make the notebook a true gift! What’s better? If you use GOGLAM14 at the checkout, you can get 15% off your order!
4) Planning Accessories
If your stationery lover already has a ringbound, or have their planner ready for 2020, why not help them spruce up their planners with accessories! Key rings and cute paperclips are always a must, and don’t forget the washi tape! We have a range of washi tape here at Deskorators with beautiful gold foiling.
Why not also try treating them to inserts for their planner? No matter their personality, we have different ranges of inserts to suit all planner types and get them set up for the year ahead!
5) Desk Organiser
Now you have spent all your money on beautiful stationery gifts, your stationery lover is going to need a place to store them right? Desk Organisers are amazing gifts and come in a variety of types, colours and sizes! You can find plenty on Amazon, Argos, Ikea etc.
6) Gift Card
If you are really struggling, then don’t forget the Gift Card. There are plenty of key stationery hot spots which provide a gift card/coupon code system. Why not try Paperchase, Kikki K, Erin Condren, Amazon and Etsy.
What will you be buying this Christmas? Is there anything on this list you have asked Santa for this year?
Until next time…
